Hi Dad,

Called Karen today concerning the casa/mail/lights/etc. She seems more than happy to take care everything for you all, very nice. We (by we, I mean Robert) are going to get Karen’s mail and your mail while they are out of town 12/23-24/11. I’ll leave her a note then and offer to have mail stopped if it becomes too much for her. Very nice neighbors you have J

Thanks Kelly for the good news. I continue to cover your parents with prayer. Sure wishI was in Las Cruces with them drinking coffee and reading papers. Someday soon it will happen. Their home is my safe paradise! Have a wonderful day with your family

Hi Nancy,

Received your message, when I talked to Dad Sat. morning Mom had a good nights’ rest and her pain level was 1 to 2 on a scale of 10. He said she was doing pretty good, she wanted to get up and do a little walking, that is a good sign. We are now waiting for the digestive system to kick in, which the Dr.’s said they were 100% sure they will become active. I’m sure Dad will give us a first-hand update today. Thank you for your concern & prayers.

Hello All,

JaNell rested well today with a pain level of 1 or 2 on a scale of 10. She sat up in a chair twice, and was able to adjust her position in bed with greater ease, than in the past. She had trouble keeping a pill and water down this morning. Beeping equipment, room lighting, and noise from the hall, still really irritates her. Her nurse, Andy, who looks like he could handle a Harley, is really nice and gives great care. Her other favorite nurse, Angie, who could be JaLisa's buddy, just came on shift, so she will have great care tonight.

Really not much progress today. She got some exercise when she was moved to the lab for x-rays. She was ask to stand for some of the exposures, and then climbed on a table for the remaining exposures. She was rolled to the lab in her bed. After all of the activity at the x-ray lab, she didn’t feel up to keeping her date with the physical therapist.

Thank all of you for your concern and prayers.

More Later,

terry

Sounds like things are getting much better. After the news from yesterday, today seemed like she made some big strides. Let's hope that she will continue to improve a little more every day. Tell her we are pulling for her to get back home as soon as possible. Talk to ya later.................................

Terry and JaNell: Thanks again for keeping us updated on JaNell's progress. Hope things will improve daily and that you will be able to spend Christmas in the lovely Casita if not in Las Cruces. Your casita is very nice with wonderful views of the landscape; however, I know you will be happy to get back to your own "casita".

We're thinking of you,

I guess replies are acceptable?? The doctor and nurses at Scot White told me the best way to get my intestines functioning was to walk. David became the slave driver and had me walking every hour on the hour. Of course Janell's surgery was much more extensive,so that hasn't been an option for her until recently. But I believe that is why I got the intestines moving so quickly. Also I was only 46, so the stamina was there too. I'm surely glad the pain is better.
Prayers and good thoughts!!

Much better report! Praying that it gets better each day!

Good news and great pictures! Donna Cuz_1

Reported to our Sunday school class update from Kelly. They will continue to pray. She is also in the prayer concerns in church bulletin. She doesn't have a chance to not get well! Hope you are watching my Boys from Denver playing football!
Portales voted YES to serving booze in restaurants on Sunday. Makes me sad to think alcoholics can't go one day without a drink. Remember my beloved sson is a recovering alcoholic. Well Vic has gone to do his Sundayy Senior exercise so think I'll join him. Hope I don't drool on the dogs!
Peace be yours,
Nancy

Hi Kelly,

I think most people got the text and photos in this email. I don't know what happened to your eMail text. I got back a hour early and JaNell was a little wound up. The physical therapist didn't show up. When I walked in she was getting her CPAP put on and that is all she was interested in. Getting a nap was her sole goal. She said pain was "manageable."

Terry,

Thank you for keeping us posted on JaNell's progress. Our hope and prayer is that the good days will soon out number the bad days and this will be but a distant memory.

Love,
JC & Carole
