~ Roswell Trip ~ Wilmont Hardware ~ Horn’s Grocery Store ~

On trips to Roswell we always went to Wilmont hardware and Horn’s Grocery Store. I think that both buildings are still standing today (2004.)

 On one trip home to the ranch, I was eating some wieners that mother had purchased at Horn's Grocery Store, and I ask, “ What part of the cow is this; the tite?”

 And on another trip home, I started begging for a drink of water and was told that we didn’t have any water in the car. I kept on begging, until daddy finally stopped the car and we got out and he said,  “Go get a drink of water,” and I said, “There isn’t any water out here.” He replied, “That’s what I have been trying to tell you.”
