~Stuck In A Snow Bank~

 

Mother, Adrienne and I were on our way to a Christmas party at a neighboring ranch when we got stuck in a snowdrift. Mother decided to walk home for help and left instructions for Adrienne and I not to get out the car. But, we got out of the car and played in the snow anyway. There were presents in the car that mother was taking for us to open at the party. I opened my present, which was a set of wooden alphabet blocks. And, there was some potato salad in the car that mother was taking to the party, which we ate.

On her way walking home she spotted Daddy in the pasture feeding the cattle, she yelled at him, but he didn’t hear her, he just moved on to another location to feed more cattle. She nearly caught up to him again and yelled again, but he still didn’t hear her; she ended up walking all the way home in the snow. I don’t know the total distance she walked, but I suspect it was a long way.
