Ronnie Merritt and I, along with our parents, were standing on the street in Roswell, when a New Mexico Military Institute cadet, who was standing near by, dropped a hand full of change. Ronnie started yelling, “Thank you mister, thank you mister,” as he scooped the change up. The man let him have the change. (Correction this incident happened on our trip to the Carlsbad Caverns.) Ronnie and I entertained our selves in a clothing store, while our mothers shopped, by running around the clothing displays, and tying all of the price tags strings together. |
