Antique Ashtray ~ As a small child I liked to flip the ashtray over and pretend it was a toy car. I can just see me now, on my knees on the floor, in the living room of the ranch house, pushing the “car” along the floor, making a car engine sound. Brrrrr. Brrrrr. Mom had an Electrolux vacuum cleaner, which was powered by direct current, that she used to clean the living room rug. Maybe, it didn’t do such a good job, because as I ran the car over the floor, creating static electricity; a lot of dust collected on the car’s rear bumper. |
