Johnie and Adron dressed up for church… Adron started attending church with Johnie in his later years, though he never joined. I can remember feeling sorry for him because every time our church had a revival, here would come the preachers to our house and corner daddy, putting pressure on him to accept Christ and join the church. A next-door neighbor, who was a retired preacher, that daddy really liked and respected, use to come over and visit mother and daddy. On one visit of his visits, they knelt and prayed, and daddy accepted Christ as his Savior. I’ve thought about that man many times – If I could only learn to touch people’s lives like the neighbor could. Comment by: Terry Turner |
