Aunt Lizzy, the best-remembered sister on Daddy's side of the family. We liked to visit her at her Portales, NM farm, because she always had good things to eat, such as, fried okra and chicken.

She liked sweet iced tea and kept a bottle of water in the refrigerator which had saccharin dissolved in it, she used the concentrated solution to sweeten her tea.

She is remembered as being kind and generous; she liked kids. She was known to pick up hitchhikers and bring them home with her, and give them something to eat. Adrienne remembers her cooking a turkey and taking it the Baptist Children's Home for Thanksgiving dinner.

And, as a great seamstress, she made clothes for Adrienne and Terry, and the children at the children's home. She had a covered button-making machine we liked to play with.
