This may be the only photo of Grandma Turner's Alberta Peach Orchard? The story is Grandma carried her Alberta Peach seeds wherever they went .....from Coon Creek, near Stevenson, Alabama and on to Texas and then her orchard at the ranch. I always remember peach seeds drying out in her window sills. Grandma didn't like a lot of noise or rowdiness so we weren't allowed to go to her place without an adult. However, I remember us quietly sitting, supposedly unobserved, amongst the leaves, eating our fill, and dropping our peach seeds in Grandma's wonderful shady orchard.......(I'm sure I was the instigator)....Fruit was rare in our world except for the big stalks of bananas our Dad sometimes bought in Roswell.
